Attention to detail. We are very proud of the standard of the services we provide and take pride in the attention to detail that we incorporate into every trip.
Tours: Our aim has always been to offer itineraries that provide a good cross section of the attractions that the Andean countries offer. We try to make sure that our clients are never rushed and have a chance to really appreciate the places they visit and the trekking routes they follow. We provide itineraries which include the famous favourite sites which never fail to interest and delight but also specialize in itineraries which visit lesser known sites. Itineraries that take in southern Peru include the Coricancha, Sacsayhuaman, Q'enqo and Tambomachay in Cusco. A little further afield we may visit Chinchero with its famous markets or take a walk through the Salt Pans below Maras. In the Sacred Valley we visit Pisaq and Ollantaytambo which for many years was our home. Before returning to Cusco we would of course visit Machu Picchu - it has always been our policy to make sure every group spends a minimum of two days at this unique site. Many of our groups also travel to Lake Titicaca and the islands of Taquile and Amantani and the Uros. We also organize trips to Arequipa and the Colca Canyon, Nazca, Ica and the Paracas Peninsula, and further north, toTrujillo, Pacatnamu, Chiclayo, Tucume and Sipan.
Treks: We offer treks in all the main mountain ranges of Peru including the Cordilleras Vilcabamba, Urubamba, Huayhuash and Blanca. Treks can be short - perhaps 4 days on the famous and very popular Classic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, or on the less crowded alternative Inca Trail that follows the Urubamba valley - know as the Piso del Valle trek - a stunning walk that takes us through beautiful cloud forest where dozens of varieties of orchids can be seen. We offer longer treks, up to 10 days in duration, across the spectacular Vilcabamba mountain range from Choquequirau to Machu Picchu Longer durations treks, up to 20 days, from deep in the Vilcabamba 10 days walk north of Machu Picchu and south to the Vilcanota that lies between Cusco and Lake Titicaca. Using our knowledge of different routes we are happy to suggest more unusual trails and organise exploratory treks.
We cater for specialist and school groups. In fact we are prepared to operate any trek or combination tour and trek that we feel does not jeopardise the safety of our clients or our staff. We are happy to discuss any specific needs for your company or institution. We work with many established agencies, for whom we have provided services for many decades and will continue to do, however we are always interested to meet new challenges.

Transport: The safety of our clients and staff always has been, and always will be, of paramount importance to us. We always use private licensed and specially insured buses and minibuses (including our own Mercedes 313 CDI Sprinter buses) with drivers we personally know and trust. We NEVER use public transport except in the case of train journeys to and from Machu Picchu and Lake Titicaca and in these cases we only use the best tourist class.
Trekking: We use very good quality trek equipment including Diamond Brand 2 man trek tents and spacious cook and dining tents. On all treks, from the shortest to the longest, we always carry a comprehensive medical kit and oxygen and on the higher altitude treks we also always carry 'Gammov' bags (portable altitude chambers) which we have now carried for more than a decade. Additionally we two way radios on all treks a satellite phone on longer treks.
Accommodation: All hotels we use have received fire safety certificates from the local authorities and are all bound by strict safety rules and procedures. So of the main hotels that we use in Peru are the Hotel Doubletree Pardo Lima, the Cusco Novotel. the Hotel Casona Yucay, the Machu Picchu Inn or Machu Picchu Inti Inn, the Lake Titicaca Eco Inn, the Colca Canyon Colca Lodge and for all our groups that travel to Bolivia we use the Hotel Radisson Plaza in La Paz. We pride ourselves in our relationship with the hotels we use and choose them for their comfort and their central location. These hotels range from 4 star hotels through to very comfortable lodges.
